ClickPay is the payments platform a lot of multifamily and association managers already have, sometimes under a second name: our database lists LOFT Payments by ClickPay as one of its aliases. RealPage has owned it since 2018. Managers start looking past it for a few reasons. Their PMS is not on its integration list. They want split payments, rewards or rent reporting for residents. Or they manage a smaller portfolio and want something priced on the page. This page covers the other vendors in our [rent payments category](/property-management-software/rent-payments/), sorted by what kind of replacement each one is, and the questions to ask before you switch.

## Why buyers look past ClickPay

Start with what ClickPay covers, because it is more than most of this list. Its record describes branded ACH and card portals, lockbox and check scanning, walk-in cash at more than 35,000 locations, e-bill and print, for both multifamily and association managers. One of the buyer prompts we track asks for an alternative to ClickPay specifically for online payments, lockbox and walk-in cash at a company that runs apartments and associations. That combination is the hard part to replace, and it narrows the list quickly.

The first objection is the PMS. ClickPay’s integration page names Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Rent Manager and ResMan, along with a long list of smaller accounting systems. Our research found no listing for AppFolio, Buildium, Entrata or Propertyware. If you run one of those, ask whether payments post to the resident ledger automatically or arrive as a file someone imports.

The second is ownership. ClickPay is a RealPage company that also integrates with Yardi and MRI. If you are not on RealPage, ask how support and the product roadmap work for your system, and get the answer in writing.

The third is price. ClickPay does not publish pricing, and neither do most multifamily payment vendors. Ask who pays the processing fee on each payment method, the resident or the property, and what the property pays for lockbox and cash.

The fourth is the resident side. Rent comes in late for a meaningful share of residents; Leslie Hyman of Circa, quoted by Multifamily Dive, put it at 25 to 30 percent paying late, with site teams chasing them. A buyer who wants split payments, rewards or rent reporting will not find those in ClickPay’s description and will look at the add-on products below.

## The alternatives, by what they replace

The table above carries each vendor’s description, pricing and integrations from the database. They sort into four groups.

### A full replacement for multifamily receivables

[Zego](/vendors/zego/) is a resident app, payments and a credit-reporting incentive, and it lists the longest PMS set of this group: Yardi, MRI, Rent Manager, ResMan, Entrata and RealPage. Its segments include HOA communities and student housing, which makes it the closest match for a manager running apartments and associations together. [Domuso](/vendors/domuso/) offers non-reversible certified card payments, free ACH, mobile check scanning and cash through MoneyGram, and it centralizes payments across several PMS platforms and ownership groups. It integrates with Yardi and RealPage. [Aptexx](/vendors/aptexx/) is a mobile-first resident app built around payment by card, mobile wallet, ACH, cash and PayPal Pay Later, with messaging, surveys, maintenance and package tracking. It integrates with Yardi and ResMan.

### Cash as the main problem

PayNearMe lets residents pay rent in cash at participating retailers, alongside cards, ACH and mobile wallets, with payments reported to the PMS. If walk-in cash is the ClickPay feature you cannot lose, put it on the list next to whichever full platform you choose. Our record lists AppFolio, Buildium and Yardi as its integrations.

### A smaller portfolio

[PayRent](/vendors/payrent/) is online rent collection for independent landlords and small managers, with free rent reporting and no unit minimums. It publishes its plans: Do-It-Yourself at $24 a month for 30 units and Go-Like-A-Pro at $59 a month for 10 units, with per-unit and per-payment fees on each. Baselane is a banking and bookkeeping platform for rental investors that collects rent by ACH, debit and credit card. Occupi accepts digital wallets, prepaid cards, money orders, cards and bank transfers at no subscription cost to the manager. PayYourRent takes ACH and card payments and reports rent to build resident credit, with applications and screening alongside. None of these lists an association product. Occupi lists Rent Manager and Yardi, and PayYourRent lists Yardi, ResMan and Rent Manager; PayRent and Baselane name no PMS in our records.

### Add-ons, not replacements

Three vendors sit on top of whatever collects the rent. [Flex](/vendors/flex/) lets a resident pay in two installments while Flex pays the property in full on the due date. It is free to operators, and the resident pays a $5.99 monthly membership, a 0.5% processing fee, a 2.5% card surcharge and a split fee of up to 3%. Residents complaining about those fees is the starting point of another prompt we track. [Livble](/vendors/livble/) splits rent into up to four installments timed to payroll, with a resident-paid finance charge of $30 to $60 per split. [Bilt Rewards](/vendors/bilt/) is a consumer rent-rewards program integrated with RealPage. None of the three replaces lockbox, check scanning or cash.

## How to shortlist

Write down which ClickPay features you actually use. If it is online ACH and card only, the field is wide. If it includes lockbox, check scanning, walk-in cash and association billing, it is short. Then check your PMS against the integration lists, or on the [Yardi](/property-management-software/integrations/yardi/), [MRI](/property-management-software/integrations/mri/) and [Entrata](/property-management-software/integrations/entrata/) integration pages.

In each demo, ask:

1. Who pays the fee on ACH, debit, credit and cash, and can we choose per property?
2. Does each payment post to the resident ledger in our PMS automatically, and how are returned or reversed payments handled?
3. Can we see payments across all our properties and ownership groups in one place, including properties on a different PMS?
4. How do paper checks and money orders get in, and what does lockbox cost?
5. For associations, does the product handle owner assessments and e-bills, or only rent?

## What the Index shows

The [rent payments Index page](/ai-shortlist-index/rent-payments/) has the prompt set and the sources behind it, and the live table on this page shows the figures for each vendor listed here. Our reading is that the engine answers a ClickPay alternatives question on the features the buyer names, so cash and lockbox in the prompt pull the answer toward vendors that take cash rather than the online-only tools. [ClickPay’s Index row](/ai-shortlist-index/rent-payments/clickpay/) has the prompt-by-prompt detail and sources.

Payment vendors who want to know why they are or are not in that answer can read [how we work on AI visibility with proptech companies](/ai-visibility-for-proptech-companies/). For buyers, the [rent payment vendor list](/property-management-software/rent-payments/vendors/) has every vendor’s fees and integrations in one table. If association billing is the deciding factor, the [HOA management software guide](/property-management-software/hoa-management-software/) covers that side, and if rewards and credit reporting are what you are after, the [resident benefits platforms guide](/property-management-software/resident-benefits-platforms/) is the next page.
