Website

Blink Charging is a public EV charging network operator that also sells hardware and network service to apartment and condo owners. Its apartments page lists three Level 2 products: the Shasta (single cable, up to 80 amps and 19.2 kW, with a 7-inch touchscreen), the Series 7 and the Series 8, which adds card, RFID, Google Pay and Apple Pay at the unit. Above those sit DC fast chargers from 60 to 360 kW. The Shasta is listed as OCPP 1.6 compliant and OCPP 2.0.1 ready, the Series 7 and Series 8 as ISO 15118 hardware-ready, and every model connects over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G LTE. In the [EV charging for multifamily guide](/property-management-software/ev-charging-for-multifamily/) Blink sells to properties alongside running its own public network, and the facts panel below is rendered from our vendor database with a source and verification date on each entry.

## Who it fits

The database tags institutional multifamily and HOA communities, because the page is written for apartments and condos. The buyer is an owner who wants to decide how much of the program to own. A garage of resident Level 2 ports and a DC fast bank out front for visitors or ride-share drivers are both on the same product list.

It fits less well for a small building that wants a few smart outlets and a resident app, and for an owner who wants a single vendor to set rates, bill residents and pay the property without any decisions on the owner’s side. The page says little about resident billing mechanics, so that buyer has more questions to ask here than with a vendor built around billing.

## Pricing

Blink does not publish prices. It publishes four ownership models instead. Host owned means the property buys the equipment and controls operation. Host owned finance is the same with 12 to 60 month terms. Hybrid owned has Blink covering equipment, operations and administration costs, with the property responsible for making the site EV charger ready. Blink owned applies to DC fast charging only, with Blink paying for installation, equipment and operations and sharing revenue with the host.

Ask for a quote in each model you would consider, side by side, for the same port count. Ask what the network fee is per port per month in the host-owned models, what the revenue split is in the Blink-owned model and who sets the price a driver pays. Ask what happens at the end of a financing term and whether the hardware is yours. Ask whether the hybrid model has a minimum term and what it costs to leave.

## Integrations

The record names no PMS integration, and the apartments page mentions none. Blink’s pitch to apartments is revenue, or free charging bundled into a higher rent. Either way the charge has to reach somebody’s ledger. Ask how resident charging is paid, whether by card at the station, through the Blink app, or as a charge posted to the rent ledger by file. Ask whether a resident can be given a private rate or access group, and how move-outs revoke access.

## Limitations and questions to ask

Blink runs a public network, so ask how a resident-only garage is kept resident-only and whether your stations will appear on public maps. Ask what load management is available when the panel cannot support every port at full power, since the page does not describe it. Ask what the support model is when a port fails, who answers the resident’s call, how fast a technician comes, and whether there is an uptime commitment in the contract. Ask which ownership model the maintenance plan comes with and what it costs in the host-owned case.

## Alternatives

The [full list of multifamily EV charging vendors](/property-management-software/ev-charging-for-multifamily/vendors/) carries the same facts for every vendor. [FLO](/vendors/flo/) sells Level 2 hardware and network software to apartments and condos with load management by name and a stated uptime target. [EVPassport](/vendors/evpassport/) and [OBE Power](/vendors/obe-power/) both pay for the equipment themselves, one on subscription and one as an owner-operator. The [ChargePoint alternatives page](/property-management-software/ev-charging-for-multifamily/chargepoint-alternatives/) sets the rest of the category side by side.
