Its record lists branded online and mobile portals for ACH and card, lockbox and check scanning, online bill-pay sweeping, walk-in cash at more than 35,000 locations, e-bill and print, payment consolidation across properties and business-rule automation. RealPage acquired it on 20 April 2018 for $218.5 million, when ClickPay served 2.3 million units across multifamily, HOA, condo and co-op, according to the SEC exhibit in the research file. It is still sold on its own domain, and its integration page names Yardi, MRI, Rent Manager and ResMan alongside RealPage, which is why it appears in the [rent payments category](/property-management-software/rent-payments/) as a vendor in its own right rather than as a RealPage module. ## Who it fits The database tags institutional multifamily and HOA communities. The multifamily buyer is an accounting lead who wants one portal, one lockbox and one cash path across a portfolio that may run more than one system, and wants business rules to route payments without a person touching them. The association buyer is the other half of ClickPay’s history. Its integration page names association accounting systems such as TOPS, Caliber, Jenark, VMS, Sage 100, SS&C Skyline, AMSI and Property Boulevard, and no other vendor in this category lists those. A manager of condo and co-op associations will find more of their systems on ClickPay’s list than on anyone else’s. It fits less well for a single-family or small multifamily manager, and for anyone on AppFolio, Buildium, Propertyware or Entrata, which the integration page does not list. ## Pricing Pricing is not published; ask for the per-transaction fee on ACH, debit and credit, who pays each one, any platform or per-unit fee, the minimum and the contract term. Ask separately for the lockbox and cash-at-retail fees, since those are services on top of the portal, and ask whether e-bill and print are priced per statement. ## Integrations The database lists Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Rent Manager and ResMan, sourced from ClickPay’s accounting-system integration page. The same page names the association systems above. Propertyware, AppFolio, Buildium and Entrata are not listed. The RealPage ownership deserves a direct question rather than an assumption. Ask how integration priority is set for a customer on Yardi or MRI versus a customer on RealPage, and what data about your portfolio reaches RealPage. The PMS’s own payment module is the alternative on every one of these systems, and ClickPay’s argument is consolidation across them, the paper and cash conversion, and the rules engine. Residents who pay through their bank’s bill-pay send a paper check with whatever memo they typed; ask how ClickPay matches those to a ledger and what happens to the ones it cannot match. Then ask about the cash network. Walk-in cash at 35,000 locations is a count; ask for the locations within reach of each property and the fee the resident pays at the counter. Then ask about business-rule automation. Ask for the rules a customer of your size actually runs, such as partial-payment blocks after a notice or routing by ownership entity, and whether you can change them without a support ticket. Then ask about reversals: what happens when a card payment is disputed after move-in, and whether there is any non-reversible rail. Last, ask what the platform looked like before the acquisition and what has changed since, because the 2018 unit count is the last public figure in our research file. ## Alternatives [Zego](/vendors/zego/) is the closest alternative, with a longer PMS list that includes Entrata and a retail cash network of its own. [Domuso](/vendors/domuso/) sells centralization across PMSs with a non-reversible certified rail that ClickPay’s record does not mention.
