Its tenant legal liability policy covers accidental, resident-caused damage for residents who do not carry their own insurance. Its canine liability coverage handles injury risk from residents’ dogs. Its renters insurance is embedded in proptech apps during the leasing process, and MSI says that model has put coverage in front of more than a million renters. MSI also owns LeaseTrack, the compliance tracking platform, which it paired with manufactured housing coverage in a September 2026 launch. The direct buyer is an owner or operator who wants a tenant liability policy sitting in front of the property insurance, with no deductible for standard perils, and who either has a tracking system or will use LeaseTrack. The page lists covered perils as fire, smoke, explosion, water damage, sewer, drain or sump backup, and loss of rental income, with full replacement cost. It says nothing about the resident’s belongings, so ask what a resident is told when enrolled, and ask for the wording. Ask which carrier backs the policy, since the page says only a highly rated insurer, and which states it is filed in, since MSI notes that not all products are available in all states. Ask who adjusts claims and how long payment takes. Ask about the corporate structure as well.
