What we collect

• Analytics. Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console, with events for row views, badge downloads, claims, subscriptions, audit requests, and call bookings. See the cookie notice.
• Forms. Name, title, work email, company domain, and the answers you give on an audit request, claim-your-row, re-check, or contact form, plus the page you submitted it from and, where relevant, the vendor row it concerns.
• Subscription. Your email address and the category editions you chose, with double opt-in confirmation.

How we use it

Form submissions are used to respond to you and to fulfil the request you made. Claim-your-row submissions are also added to WebPossible’s vendor outreach database, which means you may be contacted about the Index and about Shortlist services. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Subscription addresses receive one email per edition per category and nothing else.

Where it goes

Form submissions are emailed to WebPossible and stored in a private record. Analytics data is processed by Google under its terms. Edition emails are sent by our email service provider from a dedicated sending subdomain.

How long

Form records are kept while there is an open conversation and for two years after. Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics retention follows the GA4 default.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw consent for outreach. Write to the address on the terms page.

Changes

Changes are logged in the site changelog with the date they take effect.
