Parcel Pending by Quadient sells indoor, outdoor, refrigerated and oversize package lockers, package rooms, a resident app and a manager dashboard to multifamily, university, commercial and carrier sites. Its homepage puts the footprint at nearly 18,000 locations, and its multifamily page adds that the lockers register residents automatically from the property management system. It is owned by Quadient, which also owns Package Concierge, so a buyer who demos both is looking at one company’s product line. Among the vendors in the package management category, it has the longest confirmed PMS list and is one of only two that say anything at all about how they charge. The facts panel below is rendered from our vendor database with a source URL and verification date on each entry.

Who it fits

The database tags institutional multifamily, student housing and commercial facilities. The multifamily page’s own arithmetic, an hour of staff time per 15 packages at 60 a day, is aimed at a community large enough to receive 60 packages a day, which puts the target well above 100 units. A regional manager standardizing lockers across a portfolio on Yardi, Entrata or RealPage is the buyer the integration list was written for.

It does not tag small multifamily or single-family rental, and its PMS list does not include AppFolio or Buildium. A manager on either of those systems should look at Smiota, the one locker vendor in the database that lists both, before spending a demo here.

Pricing

The multifamily page says pricing is flexible, with options that include purchase and subscription. No figures are published. Ask for the set-up fee per property, the monthly fee under each model, the contract term, and who owns the hardware at the end of a subscription. Ask separately whether the resident app and the dashboard are included or licensed, and whether refrigerated and oversize units are priced as add-ons. Then price a purchase and a subscription over the same five years and hand both to the owner, because the monthly figure will look better on the subscription and the balance sheet will look better on the purchase.

Integrations

The database lists Yardi, Entrata, ResMan, Rent Manager and RealPage, sourced from the multifamily page, which also mentions custom integration support for systems not on the list. That is the longest PMS list in the category, and ResMan and Rent Manager appear on no other locker vendor’s list in our database. The Yardi integrations page shows the other property-ops vendors on that system. The integration to test in the demo is resident registration, since the page’s promise of automated registration is what stops the office from typing every new resident into a second system at move-in. Ask what happens on a transfer between units and on a move-out with a package still in the locker.

Limitations and questions to ask

Oversize is the first question, as it is for every locker vendor. The product line includes oversize lockers and package rooms, so ask what mix the quote assumes for your community and what share of deliveries the vendor expects to fall outside it. Peak season is the second. Ask what happens at move-in when the bank is full and whether temporary capacity is available. Storage fees are the third. The sibling brand Package Concierge charges a fee when a package sits past the pick-up window; ask whether the same schedule applies here, who pays it, and how the resident is told before it starts. Support is the fourth. Ask who fixes a jammed door, how fast, and what the dashboard shows the office before a resident calls.

The ownership question is worth asking plainly. Package Concierge’s multifamily page now redirects to Parcel Pending’s, so ask which brand’s hardware and software you are being quoted, and what the roadmap is for the two lines.

Alternatives

The package management vendor list compares all eight vendors in the category on one page. The closest rival by size and PMS coverage is Luxer One, an ASSA ABLOY company with the same three institutional PMS connections and an automated package room. Package Concierge is the same owner’s other brand and the one with a published fee structure. A buyer who wants an open room instead of lockers should read the Position Imaging profile.

AI visibility

The AI Shortlist Index will measure package management when a prompt set for the category is approved, and this profile will carry the Parcel Pending row from that point.
