ePremium Insurance sells renters insurance to residents through the property manager. The record describes pre-qualified policies at partner rates for multifamily and single-family rentals, and its site says it has partnered with thousands of property management companies and covers hundreds of thousands of renters. It also sells eDeposit, a security deposit alternative, which is the second reason a manager ends up on its site. In the renters insurance programs category it belongs with the resident-policy programs, the vendors whose product is the resident’s own HO-4 rather than a master policy the manager holds.

Who it fits

The record tags institutional multifamily, small multifamily and single-family rental, which is the widest spread in the category. The buyer is a manager whose lease requires coverage and who wants a named place to send residents that prices the policy for the property, so the compliance conversation at move-in ends with a link rather than an argument. The pre-qualified framing means the resident does not go through a full underwriting quote, which is what makes the link work at the leasing desk.

It fits less well for a manager whose problem is the resident who never clicks the link. Nothing in the record describes third-party policy verification, lapse tracking or automatic enrollment into a master policy, so the manager with a compliance gap should pair ePremium with a tracking layer or choose one that includes both.

Pricing

The record’s pricing entry says resident-paid policies priced by location, not published; the site shows a “View Prices” button that quotes by location rather than a rate card. The property pays nothing on the face of it. Ask whether the property earns anything on each policy, whether the partner rate is lower than the same resident would get direct, and what eDeposit costs the property and the resident if you add it. Then ask whether there is any master policy or liability program behind the resident offer and, if so, its per-unit cost and deductible.

Integrations

The record carries no PMS integration, and the site names none. So the first integration question is whether a resident’s purchase reaches your resident record at all, or whether the leasing desk learns about it when the resident forwards a PDF. Ask how proof of coverage is delivered to the property, whether cancellations are reported, and whether any of that posts into AppFolio, Yardi, RealPage, Rent Manager or whatever you run. Without a data path back to the PMS, a resident-policy program is a resident discount and does nothing for compliance.

Limitations and questions to ask

Ask what “pre-qualified” means in underwriting terms and which residents it excludes. Ask for a sample declarations page and read the contents limit, the liability limit and the deductible, and confirm the property is named as an interested party so it hears about a cancellation. Ask which states the policies are offered in, who the licensed producer is, and what the partner agreement obligates the property to say or not say to residents about where to buy. Ask what eDeposit changes in the lease and what a resident owes at move-out under it. Get the answers for your states in writing.

Alternatives

No alternatives page exists for this category yet; the renters insurance vendors list compares all eight vendors. The nearest like-for-like is Jetty, another resident-paid policy sold through property partners, with published starting pricing and a deposit product of its own. For a small multifamily manager on Rent Manager who wants a fully digital resident sign-up, Lemonade is the marketplace option.

AI visibility

The Index will measure renters insurance programs when a prompt set is approved, and this profile carries no number until then.
