Resident-Link is a resident amenity from Fraud Protection Network, and the site’s copyright line belongs to IDIQ. A management company offers it to its residents, and it combines positive rent-payment reporting with an identity protection product: identity and verification alerts, change-of-address, Social Security and public record monitoring, lost wallet protection, personal recovery assistance and credit monitoring at Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. Residents reach it only through a participating property management company. Within the resident benefits platforms category it is the vendor that leads with identity protection and adds rent reporting, the reverse of most reporting vendors. The facts panel below comes from our vendor database, with a source and a verification date on each entry.

Who it fits

The database tags institutional multifamily, and the site’s only call to operators is addressed to multifamily owners and managers, inviting them to offer Resident-Link at their communities. The buyer is an operator who wants an amenity residents can see every month, framed around protecting their identity, with credit building attached. The site lists no setup fees and no onsite inspection, and says the service is FCRA compliant.

It fits less well for a manager who wants a full benefits bundle with filters, insurance or pest control, which Resident-Link does not sell. It also fits less well for a manager who wants to choose full-file reporting or set the enrollment rules in detail. The site describes positive rent-payment reporting only and does not describe configurable options.

Pricing

Pricing is not published beyond the statement that there are no setup fees. Ask the monthly price per resident, whether the property or the resident pays, and whether you can bundle it into a benefits fee with a markup. The feature table on the homepage has two columns, RapID Pro and RapID Pro Plus, so ask which features each includes and what each costs. Ask for the contract term and the minimum number of enrolled residents, if any.

Integrations

The record lists no PMS, and the site names none. Rent reporting depends on payment data, so the integration question decides whether the program runs itself. Ask how rent payment history gets from your property management system to Fraud Protection Network, how often, and whether anyone on your team has to send a file. Ask how enrollment and cancellation are recorded and how a resident who moves out is removed. Ask which credit bureaus receive the rent payment reporting, since the site names the three bureaus for monitoring but does not say where rent data goes.

Limitations and questions to ask

The public site is thin, and the homepage carries the whole description. The feature table lists a full Experian credit report and a credit score with that report at four times a year, plus a discounted credit report and score, so ask which of those each tier includes and whether residents pay anything extra for them. Ask for the full product sheet, the resident terms and a sample of what residents receive before you put it in a lease. Ask what the $25,000 service guarantee covers and what it excludes; the site says the guarantee is provided by IDIQ and that coverage may not be available everywhere. Ask who residents call for recovery help and what hours that line keeps. Ask what reporting you get on enrollment by community.

Alternatives

The resident benefits platforms vendor list shows the full field. CredHub is the closest match, packaging rent reporting with perks and identity protection. RentPlus bundles on-time reporting with ID and fraud protection inside Entrata, and Esusu reports to all three bureaus with a 24-month backfill. The Piñata alternatives comparison sets the reporting vendors side by side on the same sourced facts.
