GetCovered sells a risk and compliance platform to multifamily property managers, and renters insurance is the first of its six product lines. On the insurance side it offers HO4 policies for residents, a master policy or tenant legal liability program applied automatically to uncovered residents with a bill-back to the resident, and captive programs for operators with scale. Around that it has added animal screening and ESA verification, resident reviews, vendor certificate compliance, a stack-cost tracker called Spend IQ, security deposits, incident reporting and a renter guarantee. In June 2026 it bought Revyse, the multifamily vendor and contract management company, which is where the vendor and spend lines come from. Its site says it is live across more than 3 million units and licensed in 42 states. In the renters insurance programs category it sits with the compliance-plus-backstop programs, sold as one module of a wider risk suite. The site marks incident reporting and the renter guarantee as new.
Who it fits
Our database tags institutional multifamily. The site’s language is aimed at PMCs, regional operators and portfolios large enough to have separate vendors for renters insurance, deposits, pet screening and vendor COIs, and its pitch is replacing those vendors with one contract and one invoice. The captive option is pitched at operators with scale. A 20,000-unit operator on Yardi or Entrata that already pays four of those vendors is the buyer this is built for.
It fits less well for a manager who only wants a renters insurance program. Buying a six-line platform to solve one problem means evaluating, and probably paying for, things you did not ask about. It also fits less well for a single-family operator, whom the site does not address.
Pricing
Pricing is not published. The site asks for unit count, PMS and which product lines you want before a demo. That makes the quote modular, so ask for it line by line. For the renters insurance piece, ask the per-unit master policy or tenant legal liability charge billed back to the resident, the share the property keeps, and any admin fee. GetCovered’s own dashboard copy talks about tracking master policy financials and admin fees, so those numbers exist. Ask what the HO4 policy costs a resident at your required limits. If you are offered the bundle, ask for the price of each line on its own as well, so you can tell what the consolidation is worth.
Integrations
GetCovered calls itself a certified partner of Yardi and Entrata, with real-time, two-way sync at the lease level. On Entrata it says its insurance widget runs inside ProspectPortal and ResidentPortal. It also lists AppFolio, Buildium, ResMan and Rent Manager among the systems it syncs, along with an open API for others. Certified and synced are not the same depth of connection, so ask which data moves for each system. On AppFolio or ResMan, ask whether a lapse posts a tenant legal liability charge to the ledger without staff action, and whether the same resident record carries the pet, deposit and insurance status.
Limitations and questions to ask
The breadth is the main risk. A suite that does six things has six places to be mediocre, so ask for references who use the renters insurance line specifically, and ask how long it has been in production compared with the newer lines such as the renter guarantee and incident reporting. Ask how Revyse is being folded in, whether Revyse customers are on a separate system for now, and what changes for them.
On the insurance itself, ask for the master policy’s per-occurrence limit, the deductible and the carrier. Ask how residents are told that tenant legal liability protects the property and does nothing for their own belongings. Ask how a third-party HO4 is verified, how fast, and what happens when the property is not listed as an interested party. Ask what the exit looks like if you want to keep the insurance line and drop the rest.
Alternatives
The list of renters insurance vendors has the same facts for every vendor. Sure is the closest single-purpose comparison, with monitoring plus automatic tenant legal liability and its own PMS connectors. Foxen also bundles compliance with pet management and adds a waiver instead of a liability policy. On RealPage, RealPage Insurance Solutions is the native option to weigh against any third party. The renters insurance alternatives page goes vendor by vendor through the rest.
