EliseAI is the name most multifamily leasing teams hear first when they start looking at AI leasing assistants. Its record describes a platform that answers prospects by voice, SMS, email and web chat, schedules tours and follows up, and also handles resident, maintenance and renewal conversations. Operators who keep looking usually have a specific reason. Some already run a leasing CRM and want the AI inside it. Some want a lighter product that only does leasing. Some run a property management system EliseAI does not name. This page covers the other nine vendors in our AI leasing assistants category, what kind of alternative each one is, and what to ask in a demo.
Why buyers look past EliseAI
The breadth is the first thing to credit and the first source of doubt. A single platform covering prospects, residents, maintenance and renewals means one vendor and one set of conversation logs. It also means buying more than a leasing team asked for, and the leasing lead who wanted after-hours coverage for inquiries now has a project that touches maintenance and resident services as well.
The second is integration. EliseAI’s integrations page names Rent Manager and ResMan as property management systems, along with Funnel’s CRM and several tour and leasing tools. Its platform page says it syncs with leading PMS and CRMs without naming them. If you run Yardi, RealPage, Entrata or MRI, ask to see the live connection in your system, and ask how often pricing and availability sync. Quoting the wrong price is one of the failure modes vendors in this category sell against, and sync cadence is where it comes from.
The third is price. EliseAI does not publish pricing, and few others in this category do. Respage and Zuma describe a model without figures, and Frontdesk publishes a general plan at $99 a month that is not specific to multifamily. That leaves you comparing quotes with little public reference point.
The fourth applies to every vendor on this page, EliseAI included. A Multifamily Dive opinion piece by Jinbo Chen of Valis Residential quotes a bot replying to an accessibility question with “a leasing agent will be in touch Monday morning,” and argues that “the vendor handles it” has no standing in a Fair Housing complaint. Buyers who read that start asking how each product handles accommodation and ESA questions, and that question can reshuffle a shortlist.
The alternatives, by what kind of product they are
The table above lists each vendor’s description, integrations and segments from the database. They fall into four groups.
An AI assistant inside a leasing CRM
If your team lives in a CRM, the CRM vendors’ own assistants are the first comparison. Funnel is a multifamily CRM whose assistant answers by email, SMS, chat and voice, books tours, and hands the thread to a leasing agent with the guest card already filled in. It integrates with Yardi, RealPage, Entrata and ResMan. Knock is RealPage’s leasing CRM; its AI agent works leads across chat, text, email and voice, and staff can tag in and out of a conversation. Our database lists no PMS integration for Knock, and its integrations page points to RealPage’s developer site, so an operator not on RealPage should ask what the connection looks like. Anyone Home, owned by Inhabit, pairs an AI assistant with a human contact center and integrates with Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, ResMan and MRI. It fits a team that wants people behind the bot.
A standalone agent on top of what you have
BetterBot is an AI agent for inquiries, tour booking against real calendars and multi-touch follow-up, with a shared dashboard where staff claim handoffs one owner at a time. It lists Entrata, Yardi, AppFolio, Rent Manager and RealPage, and its segments include student and affordable housing. Zuma sells an assistant called Kelsey that answers by phone, email, chat and SMS and schedules tours, and lists RealPage, Yardi and Entrata. Frontdesk answers calls, chats, emails and lead forms around the clock and syncs records to the PMS; it lists Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, AppFolio, Buildium, ResMan, Rent Manager, MRI and Rentvine, the longest list in the category, and its segments run to single-family, student, affordable and HOA, which is wider than most of this list.
Marketing platforms with an assistant attached
Hyly.AI is a marketing-automation platform whose agent, Hayley, handles chat and email and re-engages prospects who drop off. It integrates with RealPage, Entrata and Yardi. PERQ adds AI chat and automated nurture to conversion websites, alongside paid media and portfolio reporting. Respage sells ResMate across web chat, email, SMS, Facebook Messenger, ILS inquiries and inbound calls, bundled with a leasing CRM and marketing services. It describes its pricing shape: a flat rate for the website chatbot, per-unit for the full assistant, and phone answering as an add-on. It lists AppFolio, Entrata, MRI, RealPage and Yardi and covers small multifamily as well as institutional.
The assistant your PMS already sells
Entrata, Yardi and RealPage each sell an AI leasing product of their own. They are not in the vendor table, but one of the buyer prompts we track starts from Entrata’s built-in assistant not answering the way the team wants, so it belongs in the comparison. Ask your PMS what its assistant costs and what it cannot do before you add a second vendor.
How to shortlist
Filter by system first. Take your PMS and your CRM to the integration lists in the table, or to the Yardi and Entrata integration pages, and drop anyone who cannot name your stack. Then decide whether you want the AI inside your CRM or alongside it.
In the demo, ask these:
- How often do pricing and availability sync from the PMS, and what does the bot say when a unit was leased an hour ago?
- When a conversation goes to a person, who owns it, what context comes with it, and can staff pause the AI for one prospect?
- Show me the bot’s answer to an accessibility or ESA question, and who reviews those transcripts.
- What does it cost, on what unit basis, and is voice a separate line?
- What happens to follow-up after the third and fourth touch, and how is that reported?
What the Index shows
The Index category page for AI leasing assistants has the prompt set and the sources behind it, and the live table on this page carries the figures for each vendor. Our reading is that the engine treats EliseAI as the reference point for this category, so it tends to come up even when a buyer asks for alternatives to someone else. EliseAI’s Index row has the prompt-by-prompt detail and sources.
A vendor on this list that wants to show up in those answers can read how we approach AI visibility for proptech companies. For buyers, the complete AI leasing assistant vendor list compares all ten in one table, and the community engagement apps guide covers what residents use after they sign.

What do AI answers suggest instead of EliseAI?
These are the Index questions that ask for an alternative to EliseAI by name. In the October 2026 edition the Index put one such question to each engine; here is what each answer named, in the order it named them.
ail-alt-01 “What are the alternatives to EliseAI for an AI leasing assistant at a multifamily company?”
ChatGPT
“Its Fenix AI agents operate across phone, email, text and chat within Funnel's CRM.”
“Funnel Leasing is a CRM + agentic AI platform for the front-office renter journey.”
The answers to this question cited 18 sources: 10 vendor websites, 6 roundup articles and 2 other sites.
Lists come from one run per prompt on each engine and update with each edition; a vendor the question itself names is left out of its list. Quotes are verbatim sentences from the recorded answers, picked by rule rather than by hand. Every prompt and vendor row: AI Leasing Assistants in the AI Shortlist Index.
